With Kylian Mbappe the hot favourite to be the game’s cover star, we would love to see this as the FIFA 21 cover!

NEW AESTHETIC – It’s all change for Next Gen with a new font and colour scheme for FIFA 21

The FIFA 21 logo has a new font, with the Standard Edition having a white and purple look to it.

The Champions Edition is purple and cyan, with the Ultimate Edition black and purple.

FIFA 21 PS5 Cover design

Thanks to a recent blog post, we’ve had our first look at what PS5 games will look like on the shelves.

The new design has a white band on the top, with black writing – reflective of the PS5’s dual-tone appearance.

We predict this will go great with the upcoming FIFA 21 box art, with the white really making the colours pop!

FIFA 21 Cover Star Reveal date prediction

With FIFA 20, we saw the cover star announced around July 2019, but the title itself released in September.

This time around, we have a release date of 9 October 2020, so if we use this pattern, we could expect the reveal in August.

BIG MONTH! While it doesn’t mention the cover star reveal, they could be positioning it as a surprise reveal!

Football fans will be aware the Champions League has been pushed back to August, so perhaps the cover star could be revealed with the trophy soon after the final on Sunday, 23 August.

Mbappe rumours intensify

It’s no secret that Kylian Mbappe has taken the footballing world by storm over the last few years.

This would put him in prime position to become the FIFA 21 cover star.

It appears that a French report about Mbappe and LeBron James coming together with a clothing brand also said that Mbappe was on the FIFA 21 cover.

TEASER FEATURE: Mbappe was featured in the tease for FIFA on next-gen

With EA staying tight-lipped about who will get the coveted spot, we’ll have to wait for this to be confirmed, but we certainly think Mbappe a worthy contender!

EA Play

The FIFA 21 reveal at EA Play did NOT reveal the next cover star.

However, from the trailer we did see Kylian Mbappe feature heavily which could be a clue.

Raheem Sterling and Jadon Sancho featured in the Volta reveal last year, and although never made the cover, they are two prominent EA athletes.

It remains to be seen who will be on the front of FIFA 21, but we should find out very soon!

FIGHT FOR THE CROWN – Will the cover stars come from Liverpool and Man City?

These include Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, PSG, Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid, so expect our next cover star to be one of the top talents for these sides.
