Ten years after its release, the ever-popular League of Legends sits at the top of the most-watched game rankings on Twitch in 2019, beating Fortnite , which has seen a significant drop in audience in the past year, according to a report by the StreamElements company.
If the number of hours of listening to Fortnite decreased by 28% in 2019, the game still comes in second place on the list with 884,923,121 hours of total listening. It is followed by Grand Theft Auto V, Dota 2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and World of Warcraft.
Apex Legends is the only title released in 2019 to appear in the list of the 10 most watched games this year, ranking eighth. The list is completed by Overwatch and Hearthstone .
It is also interesting to note that StreamElements has included in its list the Just Chatting category, in which people distribute content other than video games. It ranks third after experiencing a 42% increase in viewing hours in 2019. Statistics in this category – previously known as IRL – show a steady increase since 2014.

StreamElements also unveiled its ranking of the 10 most viewed instavideastes ( streamers ) of the year. The player of Fortnite TFEU which ranks first. Shroud and Ninja, the two stars who deserted Twitch for its rival Mixer platform, finish second and fourth respectively.
The Québécois Félix “xQc” Lengyel, who was at the center of several controversies during his passage in the professional league of Overwatch , ranks sixth.
With 73% of the market share, Twitch is the most popular live streaming platform, followed by far by YouTube Gaming (21%). Facebook Gaming and Mixer both tripled their viewing hours in 2019 and each obtained 3% of the market share.
