Maruti Suzuki is counted as one of the top automotive manufacturers in India, including Tata and Mahindra. 2019-2020 has been harsh to the automotive industry, but each shall move past it. With the same spirit, Maruti Suzuki has a crunchy lineup of vehicles ready to be unveiled to the Indias, let’s talk about some.
Maruti Suzuki S-Cross
This compact car has already been announced for booking, yet needs a spot on the list. The S-Cross is expected to have a good response, with cars like Baleno already doing well. The S-Cross will get a petrol engine for the first time, and Maruti Suzuki will also offer a Smart Hybrid technology, which will ensure excellent fuel efficiency. The new S-Cross will look similar to the previous version, but it will get an updated list of features, including a new SmartPlay infotainment system. It is expected to be priced slightly lower than the current model since it will get a petrol engine.
Maruti Suzuki Jimny
We know, that had a post dedicated to its arrival in India, and the answer was NO. Yet Maruti Suzuki loves to surprise their Indian buyers, and Jimny could be introduced with a refined and tuned engine to control the emissions. The Indian will love a compact off-roader. If this happens, the Jimny will be powered by the 1.5-liter K-Series petrol engine and launched as a niche product in the market.
Mid Size SUV
If, after seeing Toyota Glanza, the similarity raised specific curiosity inside, then welcome to the club. Suzuki and Toyota have become partners globally, and the tie-up will soon announce Toyota’s Vitara Brezza version. After that, the duo will look towards manufacturing a mid-size SUV to take against Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. The all-new SUV will get powered by the 1.5-liter engine and will be available with the only 2WD option. It will be launched in 2022.
Maruti Alto 800
Maruti Suzuki cleverly knows how much Indians were fond of its 800 series, and therefore came up with Alto. Next up, the company is planning to revive the icon and name it Maruti Alto 800. It will be based on the HEARTECT platform that underpins the S-Presso and will get an 800cc, three-cylinder engine. The car will get Maruti Suzuki’s latest infotainment set-up with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and will be launched sometime in 2021.
