Like other seasons of The Last Kingdom, the fifth season will also introduce some new characters. The original cast of the series will be announced soon.

The plot of The Last Kingdom Season 5 will be focused on Uhtred’s ultimate destiny. He will be facing the greatest enemy in this season. Apart from that, the fifth season will also be having many heartbreaking events in Uhtred’s life.

After the release of the fourth season, in July 2020, The Last Kingdom was renewed for a fifth season. However, the makers have not yet revealed the actual release date of The Last Kingdom Season 5.
The Last Kingdom Season 5 can be expected to release by the end of 2021 or in the first half of 2022.
