The American series created after the 1965 series with the same name, Lost in Space, has been a massive hit following its release on Netflix on the 13th of April, 2018. The second season made its appearance shortly, on the 24th of December, 2019, and it has in its cast Molly Parker, Taylor Russell. As guest stars, there is Angela Cartwright, Bill Mumy, and Selma Blair.
Fans are interested in the story that follows the adventures of a family of space colonists – the Robinsons, chosen for the 24th mission of the Resolute. Many people started to anticipate the release of the third season, but when exactly is that happening?
There is no confirmation from Netflix
Netflix waited about a month after releasing the first season of Lost in Space in order to confirm the second season. As per some sources, the third season of the show is already in works. One stated that the third season is inevitable.
We have no exact release date
If you know Netflix, then you’ve seen how chaotic their schedule has been. The show premiered in April 2018, and then, just a few months later, came the second season. So we are not sure about the third season. If the season will not be released in April, then we might have to wait another year.
Is the same cast coming back?
We will have the same Robinson faces in season 3. John and Maureen, with their kids Judy, Will, and Penny, are everything in this show. There are also some regulars that will come back, including Sibongile Mlambo and villains Ignacio Serricchio and Parker Posey.
According to one of the co-writers, “I mean you know (the) Robinson family will go on forever. But the story that we started with (the) pilot with the robots and everything else we want to have, we know what the ending is.”
