Virgin River is a TV series based on novels by the popular author Robyn Carr and directed by Sue Tenny.
The show was first aired on Netflix on December 6, 2019. A second season was launched on November 27, 2020, and a third season was introduced on July 9, 2021.
The series follows the story of Melinda Monroe, a.k.a. Mel, a nurse practitioner and midwife from Los Angeles.
She had a difficult run in LA, which made her pursue an escape from her sufferings.
Opportunity struck her when she found an ad to work as a nurse in Virgin River, a faraway town of northern California.
After she got selected, she moved to Virgin River, believing that this might finally be her big breakthrough and escape that she was so eager to get.
She soon found out that Virgin River wasn’t as quiet and peaceful as she believed.
The show received numerous praises from its audience due to the intense screenplay and flawless direction, particularly the onscreen chemistry between Jack and Mel.
As it has received an overwhelming response so far, the production house, Reel World Management, has recently announced that there will be the fourth season of Virgin River.
The makers of the series began working on the 4th season as soon as the 3rd season ended.
Netflix hasn’t officially announced a release date for season 4, but some reports suggested that the makers worked on pre-production back in August 2021 and are still on the film set.
If they keep a steady pace, the 4th season may be released next year, between April and June, which would be on par with many predictions and satisfy fans.
The series became popular thanks to many reasons, including its captivating story, mostly following the novel’s premise.
The first three seasons were massive hits, so it makes sense that the audience has high hopes and expectations for the new season.
