YouTube has become very popular, and it is safe to say that we cannot live without it. It is a platform that provides plenty of shows and entertainment, even educational videos. But wouldn’t it be nice not to squint at our phones anymore? Watching YouTube on a big screen might actually be better for you.
Nowadays, it is very easy to connect your Smart TV to the internet, and start watching YouTube videos. And if you do not have a TV, then there are plenty of other devices to use, such as Xbox One, PS3 or Roku. You will need to sign in and activate it before, but it’s a piece of cake, and we are here to help you with this one. The entire process will last a few minutes, so here’s how to activate YouTube on the following devices:
- PlayStation 3
The process is short, and the steps are very easy to follow:
- First, find and open the app. If you don’t have it, you need to download it from the PlayStation Store.
- Go to Sign in & settings, and press X on Sign in.
- You will get a code, write it down on a piece of paper.
- Go to com/activate by using your phone or laptop.
- Make sure you are logged into your Google account, and enter the code you got from YouTube.
- Allow access and enjoy your time watching unlimited videos.
- Kodi
This one has many more steps to follow, but bear with us:
- First, go to Settings, and select Add-ons.
- From Get Add-ons, press Install.
- Then, select Kodi Add-on Repository.
- After that, select Video Add-ons.
- Find YouTube, and select
- After it gets installed, go to Videos, and select Add-ons.
- Open YouTube.
- Select Sign in.
- The Add-on will come with a code. Write it down on a piece of paper.
- Then, go to com/activate by using your phone or laptop.
- Make sure you are logged into your Google account, and enter the code you got from YouTube.
- Allow access and enjoy your time watching unlimited videos.
- Roku
We know it doesn’t seem very easy, but it is actually a piece of cake:
- Connect the Roku to the TV and make sure you’re signed in to your Roku account. You should also be connected to Wi-Fi.
- Go to Home Screen – the Home button from your remote.
- Select Channel Storeand press Ok.
- Go to Top Free and select YouTube, then press
- You get the option for Add Channel. Select it, then press ok.
- Wait until the process is done, then select YouTube.
- Find the Gear icon on the left side
- Select Sign in and enter your info
- You will get an 8-digit code. Write it down on a piece of paper.
- Then, go to com/activate by using your phone or laptop.
- Make sure you are logged into your Google account, and enter the code you got from Roku.
- Allow access and enjoy your time watching unlimited videos.
- Xbox One
These steps are easy to follow, and, just as for PlayStation 3, it will take you no time.
