Hyundai Upcoming Micro SUV: With increasing love for SUVs in the country, automobile companies are also expanding their lineup keeping this in mind. In this sequence, Hyundai is planning to enter the global segment with its upcoming micro SUV (codenamed AX1). Recently, the prototype of this five-seater has been spotted during testing in the snow, while media reports suggest that the car could be launched in South Korea and India ahead of other markets.
The price will be extremely low: In the Indian car market, this micro SUV will be positioned below the Venue compact SUV and thus it can be priced from around Rs 4.5 lakh to Rs 7 lakh ex-showroom. This car will be built on the K1 architecture. The Hyundai Ax1 will get a mix of boxy design elements. Which also suits this segment well. In the first spy photos, the horizontal LED tail lamps and alloy wheels of this car will be given.
FEATURES AND ENGINE SPECS: The interior will feature a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with a multi-function steering wheel and digital instrument cluster. At the same time, like an engine, it will be equipped with a 1.2.liter naturally aspirated petrol engine. Which will generate 84bhp of power and 115 Nm of torque. Along with this, it is expected that this car can also be given a 1.1 liter naturally aspirated petrol engine similar to the Santro, which generates 68bhp power and 99nm torque. A 5-speed manual as standard and a 5-speed AMT can be given as an option.
