Marvel vs. DC: Spider-Man Just tried to ask Lois Lane out, and it’s all a disaster

Marvel vs. DC came with one big surprise for fans. Spider-Man tried to make a move on Superman’s love interest?

Well, it’s not the real Spider-Man. It’s one of the clones – Ben Reilly, who is set to replace Parker in the Beyond storyline. Ben has been Spider-Man before, and he even took part in the events of Marvel vs DC. He tried to ask out Lois Lane, but that didn’t work out well.

Ron Marz, Peter David, Dan Jurgens, and Claudio Castelleni all bought these two universes together, with their heroes and villains. The champions were chosen to duel to see which reality was eradicated, and elements of these worlds were merged together. Batman went against Bullseye, Tim Drake got together with Jubilee, and the Daily Planet and Daily Bugle had their staff working together.

Wilson Fisk became the owner of the paper, and J. Jonah Jameson became the editor-in-chief. Jimmy Olsen got replaced by Ben Reilly. Clark was impressed by Ben’s photos, and it seemed that they were working together just well. Then Ben decided to take his chances on Lois.

When Lois was attacked by Marvel and DC incarnations of Scarecrow, Ben was there to protect her. Lois was grateful for his help, but she didn’t think much of it. Ben thought she was attracted to him, and he asked her out; she revealed she was engaged to Clark.

We learned that no matter who wants to win her hand, Lois wants Superman in the end. After all, at the possible end of the world, Superman did leave the battle so he can be with her. Ben is left with J. Jonah Jameson, when the latter apologizes for his years of mistreatment.
